Build leadership and strong organizational capacity. Ensure broad community engagement. Forge partnerships across sectors including soliciting event partners, sponsors, donations and volunteers. 

Build and support an economically vibrant and diverse downtown by helping existing downtown businesses thrive and by attracting new businesses to the district. Identifying and addressing the needs of the downtown merchant community. Catalyze smart new investments and cultivate a strong entrepreneurship ecosystem. Welcome new businesses with information on their BID Member-Benefits. Recruit property owners and outside businesses to join as Associate Members. 

Create an inviting and inclusive atmosphere while celebrating our district’s historic character. Work to promote individual business expression within existing City of Vacaville design standards. Foster accessible, people-centered public spaces. Report parking allocation issues. Work with law enforcement to understand current security needs.

Develop and implement strategies to market the organization's defining aspects to locals, visitors and businesses alike. Communicate unique features through storytelling. Support the shop local experience. Plan shopping promotions and events.

Chaired by the Treasurer,  the finance committee provides oversight of the finances of Downtown Vacaville and prepares and recommends the budget and business plan for each operational year. The committee meets once a month in advance of the regular meeting of the Executive Committee.
