Vacaville`s Lost Japantown
Before World War II, Vacaville was home to one of California`s largest Japanese-American communities. Centered along Dobbins Street, families built businesses, farms, churches, and community organizations that helped shape the city we know today.

Following the wartime incarceration of Japanese Americans, much of this community was lost, leaving behind an important chapter in Vacaville`s history.
