Did you know this brick building at 530 Main Street has been part of Vacaville’s story since 1889? Originally constructed by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) Lodge No. 83 after two earlier lodge halls burned down, this two‑story brick and cast‑iron column structure has stood through fires, an 1892 earthquake, and more than a century of community life. The Odd Fellows use the second floor as their meeting hall while renting out the ground‑floor shops to support their work in the community.
Today, the ground level of this historic building is alive with local businesses that bring new energy to Main Street, including The Artisan, an antiques, vintage art & curiosities shop where every piece has a story, and Jon Edwards Salon & Spa, a beloved local salon bringing beauty and wellness to the heart of downtown — a perfect modern complement to the building’s rich past.
✨ From 19th‑century lodge hall to vibrant small‑business hub, this corner of Main Street is living history — and still part of our community today!

Did you know? 👀
This downtown landmark once served as Vacaville’s original Town Hall — and so much more. Built in 1907, the building housed the city jail, police station, courtroom, and fire department, all under one roof!
For decades, it was the center of civic life in Vacaville before city services moved elsewhere. Saved from demolition and lovingly restored, the building now stands as a reminder of how our downtown — and our community — first took shape.
Thanks to local preservationists, it was restored and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Today it’s home to the Vacaville Heritage Council and the Solano County Genealogical Society ♥️
