The Downtown Vacaville Business Improvement District (DVBID) is fired up and hot to host the 5th Annual Downtown Vacaville Rib & Chili Challenge Cook Off.  Contestants will begin preparing their special recipes early that morning and judging will take place throughout the afternoon. The entrants will be judged on their chili (all styles welcomed) and ribs (pork).

Judging starts at 1 pm (People’s Choice judging kits go on sale at 12 pm at $5 and when they run out or the chili runs out that portion of the event is over…the “tastes” usually last for about 90 minutes). Winners will be announced between 4 and 4:30 pm.

There will also be entertainment happening all day long as well. Things kick off musically in the morning with The Beer Brothers performing at 10 a.m. followed by Finding Fable at Noon, then GGSK at 1 p.m., Denis Colleret at 2:30 p.m., River City Renegades at 3:30 p.m., Black Rock Project performing at 5 p.m. and the Matty T Band closing things out at 7 p.m. The Rib & Chili winners will be announced around 4:30 p.m. and the fun will continue from there!
